Welcome to the Building Officials Association of Palm Beach County

Our members are Code Professionals licensed by the State of Florida through Florida Statutes 468 working to enforce the provisions of the Florida Building Code, Florida Statute 553, and Florida Statute 713 Part I for Palm Beach County and its 28 municipalities. As a proud local chapter of the Building Officials Association of Florida since 1974 and the International Code Council since 2001, our mission extends beyond enforcement. We are committed to providing education opportunities, offering financial support through scholarships to local applicants and fostering the development of future industry professionals both statewide and nationally. In addition, we host monthly continuing educational sessions for members and industry partners to keep them informed about new products, processes, compliance requirements and best practices. We also support local high schools by providing scholarships and materials to their apprenticeship programs. This includes offering mentorship and raising awareness about career opportunities within the building industry. Our vision is to lead by example, advocating for public safety, industry excellence and the advancement of education to build a safer tomorrow for the communities we serve.
